We’re brothers, Troy and Travis Means, and our family has been involved in the building of distinctive structures in the Reno/Tahoe area, in one capacity or another, for over 75 years now. Our work at HomeCrafters included some of the region’s finest custom homes, townhomes and several commercial projects over the years. We’ve built them all and more in some of our area’s most prestigious and picturesque locales. Places like Montrêux, ArrowCreek, Somersett, Saddlehorn, and Caughlin Ranch.

Troy Means
Owner
After graduating from the University of Southern California in 1991 with a business and real estate development degree, Troy came back to his roots in Reno. With a desire to expand his horizons, Troy started his own residential building firm, HomeCrafters, in 1996.

Owner
Travis gained his working knowledge as a project manager in the San Francisco Bay area for Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction, giving him high tech and biotech construction expertise....
